Open Mike provides opportunities to share your skills before a live audience of your fellow camp attendees. It is here that you might see a Japanese juggler, a Californian storyteller, an African children’s performer, or a Canadian musical artist. Some evenings a surprise staff member will also perform a new routine we’ve never before seen.
A host staff member moderates Open Mike. Interested participants sign up to be on a specific evening’s program. Some acts are solo, others are provided by two partner clowns, and still others contain a large group of participants. The host staff MC will provide you with a time frame within which you must restrict your appearance. The number of participants usually affects this for that particular evening. It is not a requirement that participants perform in their clown characters.
